Hi Loves! Happy December. Can you believe that Christmas is only a few weeks away? Cue all the happy squeals because I am in full Christmas mode and loving every second of it. The blogger world is all a buzz with gift guides that I am enjoying to the fullest but there aren't many guides for the bloggers and techies out there so I thought it would be fun to create a gift guide for all of us. This one was really hard to narrow down to a few things because there's always so much bloggers need to write and create but here are a few things that would make my blog lovin' heart happy. December//Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Peachies! I hope y'all are as excited about today's post as I am because it's the Guys Behind the Blog feature. My hubby enjoys answering these questions so much y'all and our conversations about them are always hilarious. So sit back and prepare to learn about my guy behind the blog.

1.) How do you spend the holidays? Any favorite traditions that you had growing up that you like to share with your family now?

With my wife, my kid and my puppy. Snuggled up in blankets, drinking coffee, watching movies, drinking cider, impromptu sing alongs, cooking and the part I hate the most; shopping.

We always watch the Peanuts christmas shows and we have Christmas on Christmas Eve.

2.) Do you prefer to have a real tree or a fake tree?

Real because it smells better. It's our tradition to go to the Farmer's Table the day after Thanksgiving and pick out our real tree.

3.) How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? Did someone ruin it for you or did you find out on your own? Do you play Santa for your kids?

I was probably like 5. I found out on my own.
Me: How did you find out?
A: I found some of my Christmas presents in the trunk of my dad's car but I wasn't too upset because it was some of the stuff I wanted.
For the puppy I do. Our son is 13 now so we don't get to play Santa anymore.

4.) What is your favorite Christmas movie?

That's tough. I love A Christmas Story and also A Charlie Brown Christmas.
My favorite movie to watch when i'm wrapping presents is Die Hard.

5.) Office holiday party - take it or leave it?

Leave it.

Bonus Question - New Year's Eve...quiet evening at home or go out?

I prefer a quiet evening with my family but with lots of yummy food and snacks.

Hey! I am a stay at home mom with 2 little boys Ezekiel, and Levi! I have grown up in the South Dallas area of Texas but have lots of dreams of traveling the world! My husband and I are involved in Ministry and love sharing the love of Jesus to others.

What inspired you to become a part of the Perfectly Posh community and become fabulous sales lady for the company?
I actually heard of Posh through a friend, and only tried it because they had something that they recommended to help with eczema, which my son had been suffering from, so I gave it a try and fell in love! I knew that I would be a lifelong customer so figured why not at least make commission off of my own sales so I joined! From there it just grew to be something I never imagined!!

What does the Perfectly Posh company stand for and what does it mean to you?
We are huge on pampering, and the fact that YOU deserve it!! Even though some of our products can help certain conditions that is not what we are all about, we are not a pharmacy, we are a pampering company! We offer naturally based products that are all under $25, and make you feel refreshed, and rejuvenated! As a mom, to me it helps me remember that I deserve to take care of myself, and I deserve GOOD products, not just something off of the shelf full of ingredients I have no clue about. What is your best selling item?

November Guys Behind the Blog

Hey Ya'll! Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure everyone is super busy today but I wanted to take just a minute to post today's Guys Behind the Blog.
My husband & I have been having so much fun doing these Q&A sessions together.
We laugh and talk so much when we're doing these.
He's rallying to get more questions, y'all!

I'm going to make this quick today so without further ado here's our November Guys Behind the Blog Q&A session.


1.) What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? What is your least favorite?
A: That's a really tough one because I kinda like them all.
If I had to pick one favorite I guess i'd pick the dressing.
I don't really have a least favorite.

*That's because his parents, my parents and I are all really good cooks so compliments to the chef*.

2.) What is a Thanksgiving tradition you liked growing up that you want to continue with your family? For example: Do you eat super early around 3pm or regular dinner time around 6pm? Do you watch football? Do you all go to a particular family member's house? Do you nap after the big meal?

A:We put a pound of bacon on the turkey.
Me: You did that as a child?
A: Yeah! That's how I learned it. But it can't be just any bacon.
It has to be the criss crossed pattern like on a pie.

*Ya'll, he's in charge of our turkey now and he makes it perfectly.*
And the bacon, that's a tradition his mama started when he was young so now that we're in charge of Thanksgiving he continues that tradition and I can not tell you how good our turkey is.
That bacon really just puts it over the edge on the flavor scale!

3.) What are your thoughts on Black Friday shopping? Yay or nay?
A: Stay away.
{he worked retail for years so Black Friday is a scary thing for him. I really don't get the appeal of fighting a bunch of people for things that are on sale. They'll either be on sale when I buy them or they won't. I just don't feel like getting beat up over some silly gift.}

4.) If you had it your way, would you set up your holiday decorations (Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah, etc.) before or after Thanksgiving?
A: You know that answer. There's not a holiday decoration that goes up until I have a turkey.
*But the day after Thanksgiving we do always get our Christmas tree from our local Farmer's Table.*

5.) What are you most thankful for this year?
A: My family. What else would I be thankful for? What more does a man need?

Then he proceeds with "that's it? Y'all need more questions!" I'm not kidding about that.
He really does want more.

Happy Wednesday Loves!

Easter Sunday.

Good Morning y'all. It's Monday and that means Spring Break for us! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday yesterday.

Usually Mondays are weekend re-cap posts but this weekend was pretty much the same as every other weekend and I'm sure you're tired of hearing about our nights of take out, sleeping and grocery shopping so today we're going to talk about Easter.


Ours was small and relaxed. It was just my party of 3, my Mom and Dad and my Grandma.
Mom and Dad cooked a delicious ham lunch/dinner and desserts. They always go above and beyond.


Holidays are my favorites. I love the food, the family and the fun. There are always guaranteed to be adventures and laughs and lots of memories made.

This year was different though because my buddy is 12 and dying Easter eggs and doing Easter egg hunts are no longer on his list of interests so this year he wanted to go on a hike in the woods to the river. It sounded like a great idea to everyone else so after our late lunch we laced up our tennis shoes while our buddy gathered his survival bag and into the woods we went. I have to say i'm really proud of my Grandma. She kept up. (It's a long hike. At the river it's downhill and rocky, too!)

We found bullet shells where someone has been out shooting. I made everyone collect them because I can clean them up and make jewelry out of them to sell.


During the hike my son came up to me with a purple violet that he had picked for me. It meant a lot. It's been a while since he did that for me. He's 12, remember? He had also picked one for my mom and grandma.

After all that excitement we went back to Mom and Dad's house and sat on the front porch to relax for a while. Our sweet cat, Chance came out of hiding and Alex and I got to love on our other son. Our fur son. He stays in hiding since Drago came along. Then we came home and played some Mario Party with our buddy while we laughed lots and ate Nerds. It was a nice day. It was great to enjoy a relaxing day and celebrate Jesus.

Before I leave I'm going to share yesterday's Instagram and Facebook post one more time because I believe it's something we all need to hear, we all need to think about and remember. In a time when it seems easier to find the dirt in people and to hold grudges it's important we find the gold and forgive people for the past. It's not our place to judge anyone, it's Jesus' so let's love each other and forgive.



"Anyone can find the dirt in someone, be the person who finds the gold." Proverbs 11:27. Happy Easter everyone. As we go through this day filled with Easter Eggs, Brunches, family and love let's remember what this day is truly about. Remember that whatever is heavy on your heart and soul, whatever is messy and broken He can fix. Just pray and find the gold in people. Be that kind of loved one and friend. None of us are perfect but we're all wonderful in our own way. I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter with those you love. Take a minute to look around and see who is with you today, love them a little more and squeeze them a little tighter and find the gold in them.

Christmas Re-Cap

A month! That's how long it's been since my last post but yes I have been that busy. After the Thanksgiving celebrations came my Dad's birthday then my mom had surgery then there was shopping and Christmas cooking to be done. It all kept me on my toes but honestly I enjoyed every minute of it. In the end it was nice to enjoy a wonderful Christmas with my family and friends. It ended with my honey having a full week off work, which is un-heard of so after Christmas we spent a lot of time with our son, sitting in front of the t.v. eating way too much junk food and take out, playing far too many video games and watching a couple movies. It was one of the best Christmases I've had, except for last Christmas when my honey proposed. Our festivities started off on the 13th with an Ugly Sweater party and our friend's Marc & Katie's. I ran to every thrift shop in town trying to find us ugly sweaters b/c paying $20 a piece at Target wasn't on my to do list. I came up with nothing so the creative juices started flowing and I made all 3 of us sweaters for $30. I'd say they are all a win (or lose, as the case may be). Mine even came complete with a tu-tu. Then my sweet loves and I made Gingerbread houses. This has been a tradition with Dylan since he was about 3. He's 11 now so that's 8 years of us doing this together. Then there was our family Christmas with my Dad's side on Dec. 21st. Some of the cousins. That was followed by Christmas with my brother in sister in law. My sister in law is a pharmacist in a hospital and had to work Christmas Day so we celebrated with them early. This might be my favorite picture from Christmas. My cat came through the windown screaming at us while we were opening presents. I think he's saying "What? You started Christmas without me?" Next up was the 23rd. Also known as our engagement anniversary. We had plans with my future Sister in Law and nephews to go look at Christmas lights then come home and start our cooking for Christmas Eve dinner with that side of the family but a giant storm de-railed those plans. Instead we just hung out in our house and stayed dry. The girls cooked while the boys gamed. Sadly this is the only pic I have from that night. Are you tired of pictures yet? Good! Let's keep going! Christmas Eve was next. My honey's family always does their celebration that night so that Christmas Day we're not all running around like crazy. It's so nice to be able to spend quality time with each side of the family. Christmas Eve we spent the night at my parent's house so there was no rushing around in the morning. It was amazing. We have a tradition of getting pajamas every Christmas Eve. This year the girls got some too. By girls I mean dogs but how cute are they?! Christmas morning. Bella was all up in her boy's business. She was laying in the midst of him and all his presents, which was so sweet. At one point she even put her paw on a gift as if to say "open this one now." {Bella's backstory-she was Dylan's Christmas gift about 8 years ago. She adores her boy.} Christmas night we had dinner and presents with my mom's side of the family. Cousins on this side of the family and my brother and son's shenanigans. We ended the night playing heads up. Oh what fun! There were many laughs. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well. I'm sorry for the picture over load. 2015 i'll be better about posting more often.
