Guys Behind The Blog

Guys Behind The Blog is back, y'all! We missed all summer because we were busy but my hubby has been asking me if he had any questions so here we are. His answers are always simple but I love seeing if the answers I think he'd give are the same ones he actually does. The best part is that he actually enjoys doing these posts and having a little feature on my blog.

So here are his answers for August.

{Guys Behind the Blog}

Hi Loves! We're late to the party per the usual but it's time for March's Guys Behind the Blog post. My hubby always has so much fun with these, y'all and it's always so much fun to feature him. He's so supportive of me and my blog but lately, it's really been growing, and he's truly becoming my guy behind the blog. Some evenings i'm busy typing away as we spend time together on the couch watching tv. Other nights i'm busy sharing one more post on Instagram as we get into bed and other times, he's my photographer. Through it all he supports me and doesn't complain one bit about me being occupied with other things. So it's nice to shine the light on him sometimes so get ready for another fun Guys Behind the Blog post with my sweet hubby.

1.) Would you rather have your dream job and make less money or have a job you hate and make tons of money?
Have my Dream Job

2.) Would you rather play a hero or a villain in a movie?
Villian because they always have the neatest toys.

3.) Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never be able to speak again?
I say everything that's on my mind anyway.
(Can I get an amen? Because I could have answered that question for him!)

4.) Would you rather go back in time and meet your ancestors or go into the future to meet your great grandchildren?
Neither because I want the future to be a mystery and the past to be the past.
(He's got this living in the moment thing down, y'all!)

5.) Would you rather swim in the Artic Ocean with nothing but a swim suit (no wet suit) or walk through the desert in the middle of the summer having to wear sweat pants and a sweat shirt?
I like it cold so i'd rather swim in the Arctic Ocean and you do call me your penguin.

Bonus question:
Would you rather live like a king but have no friends and family or be homeless with your friends and family?
I'd rather be homeless.
(Aww, he does love me.)

Most of the time I could answer these questions for him but sometimes he surprises me. These posts are our favorites to do y'all so I hope you link up with us next month.

February//Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Sweet Friends! February got away from me, y'all. We call it birthday season because there are nine birthdays in mine and my hubby's family between January & February. One of them is mine and this year it has worn me out. I blame that for the month slipping by and because it did I missed February's Guys Behind the Blog link up with my sweet friend Crystal from Hall Around Texas. It's never too late to post though so get ready for some syrupy sweetness from my hubby because this months questions are all Valentine's and love related.

1 // Name two things your wife has taught you.
Hmmm, Idk. (long silence). You taught me how to save things on Facebook and you taught me how to make cinnamon sugar toast which apparently I have become the master of. (He's so humble, y'all.)

2 // What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
I got to say I Do to my best friend and I got a crazy little doodle.

3 // Valentines Day is usually more about the girl...but tell me, what is something YOU would love to receive on Valentine's day?

*Insert cheesy grin* You usually do good on Valentine's Day. We just get each other silly little things. To me Valentine's Day isn't about the getting, it's about who i'm with, the love of my life.
(Good Grief. Syrupy sweetness over here.)

4 // What was the best date you and your wife ever had?

The first date because we went to O'Charley's (he proceeds to tell everything we ordered) then I took you home and kissed you. Thank goodness you kissed me back because that would have been really awkward.

5 // If money was no option and you could go anywhere in the world with just your spouse, where would you go and what would you do?
I don't know where we would go; probably somewhere tropical and warm and we'd stay somewhere not super fancy because we ain't super fancy people but somewhere really nice. We would have good food, good drinks. We'd take long walks on the beach, helicopter rides, moonlight dinners. Probably rent a convertible and drive around.

Bonus Questions:
6 // Valentine's Day - Hallmark Holiday or Real Holiday?
Little bit of both.

7 // What is your favorite romantic comedy movie?

Idk, there's so many. If I had to pick one; Knocked Up.
Me:That's not a romantic comedy.
A: Think about it. Yes it is. They fall in love at the end.

January//Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Sweet Friends! It's time for January's Guys Behind the Blog. My husband is so much more than the guy behind the blog. He's the guy responsible for everything good in my life. That's why I love getting to feature him in these posts. We always have so much fun laughing and talking when we do these questions together so get ready for some serious hubby awesomeness.

December//Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Peachies! I hope y'all are as excited about today's post as I am because it's the Guys Behind the Blog feature. My hubby enjoys answering these questions so much y'all and our conversations about them are always hilarious. So sit back and prepare to learn about my guy behind the blog.

1.) How do you spend the holidays? Any favorite traditions that you had growing up that you like to share with your family now?

With my wife, my kid and my puppy. Snuggled up in blankets, drinking coffee, watching movies, drinking cider, impromptu sing alongs, cooking and the part I hate the most; shopping.

We always watch the Peanuts christmas shows and we have Christmas on Christmas Eve.

2.) Do you prefer to have a real tree or a fake tree?

Real because it smells better. It's our tradition to go to the Farmer's Table the day after Thanksgiving and pick out our real tree.

3.) How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? Did someone ruin it for you or did you find out on your own? Do you play Santa for your kids?

I was probably like 5. I found out on my own.
Me: How did you find out?
A: I found some of my Christmas presents in the trunk of my dad's car but I wasn't too upset because it was some of the stuff I wanted.
For the puppy I do. Our son is 13 now so we don't get to play Santa anymore.

4.) What is your favorite Christmas movie?

That's tough. I love A Christmas Story and also A Charlie Brown Christmas.
My favorite movie to watch when i'm wrapping presents is Die Hard.

5.) Office holiday party - take it or leave it?

Leave it.

Bonus Question - New Year's Eve...quiet evening at home or go out?

I prefer a quiet evening with my family but with lots of yummy food and snacks.

So y'all, now you know my hubby's Christmas traditions. We really are low key homebodies, y'all. We enjoy the coziness of the holidays and quietness of home.

We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.

November Guys Behind the Blog

Hey Ya'll! Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure everyone is super busy today but I wanted to take just a minute to post today's Guys Behind the Blog.
My husband & I have been having so much fun doing these Q&A sessions together.
We laugh and talk so much when we're doing these.
He's rallying to get more questions, y'all!

I'm going to make this quick today so without further ado here's our November Guys Behind the Blog Q&A session.

1.) What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? What is your least favorite?
A: That's a really tough one because I kinda like them all.
If I had to pick one favorite I guess i'd pick the dressing.
I don't really have a least favorite.

*That's because his parents, my parents and I are all really good cooks so compliments to the chef*.

2.) What is a Thanksgiving tradition you liked growing up that you want to continue with your family? For example: Do you eat super early around 3pm or regular dinner time around 6pm? Do you watch football? Do you all go to a particular family member's house? Do you nap after the big meal?

A:We put a pound of bacon on the turkey.
Me: You did that as a child?
A: Yeah! That's how I learned it. But it can't be just any bacon.
It has to be the criss crossed pattern like on a pie.

*Ya'll, he's in charge of our turkey now and he makes it perfectly.*
And the bacon, that's a tradition his mama started when he was young so now that we're in charge of Thanksgiving he continues that tradition and I can not tell you how good our turkey is.
That bacon really just puts it over the edge on the flavor scale!

3.) What are your thoughts on Black Friday shopping? Yay or nay?
A: Stay away.
{he worked retail for years so Black Friday is a scary thing for him. I really don't get the appeal of fighting a bunch of people for things that are on sale. They'll either be on sale when I buy them or they won't. I just don't feel like getting beat up over some silly gift.}

4.) If you had it your way, would you set up your holiday decorations (Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah, etc.) before or after Thanksgiving?
A: You know that answer. There's not a holiday decoration that goes up until I have a turkey.
*But the day after Thanksgiving we do always get our Christmas tree from our local Farmer's Table.*
Shop local y'all!

5.) What are you most thankful for this year?
A: My family. What else would I be thankful for? What more does a man need?

Then he proceeds with "that's it? Y'all need more questions!" I'm not kidding about that.
He really does want more.
Later tonight, after you're all stuffed from turkey and all the fixins, I'd love y'all to ask your significant other these questions and put the answers in the comments.

Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Peachies! I am so excited about today's post. It's one I wanted to do forever and I finally have the chance. Today i'm linking up with my sweet friend Crystal from Hall Around Texas for the Guy's Behind the Blog series. I had so much fun interviewing my sweet, handsome hubby for this and I think he had fun, too.

Just read what he asked me at the end and I think you'll see why.

So go grab a cup of cider, coffee or tea and snuggle in with us and read my hubby's Guys Behind the Blog interview.
