Pinspiring Thanksgiving Edition

I'm a pintrest-a-holic, everyone who knows me knows this. Crafts, recipes, decorating, fashion, i've got it all covered on Pinterest. So I figured it would be fun to put together a Pinspiring post of inspiring pins. This edition is Thanksgiving since it's upon us. In fantasy land this is what my ideal Thanksgiving looks like, of course it takes place in my gorgeous BIG house with all my family around. (That's another Pinspiring post-my dream house). So here's the decor:
It's gorgeous, right? Now on to the good stuff! The real celebration! The Food!
And dessert and drinks!!
I hope your Thanksgiving is this enjoyable OR even better!

Hello Monday.

After an amazing weekend spent with family and friends it's time to kick off Thanksgiving week and what better way than cleaning house with the windows open? I'm ready for this week. For the first time ever my Finace and I are cooking lunch with his parents. They were going to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving but some health issues are keeping them at home. They weren't going to go anywhere or cook so we were just going to bring them a plate from Thanksgiving dinner with my family until I got the idea, while we were at the grocery store Saturday, to make a meal and take it to them. From then on it was official! I'm excited because they always do so much for us and won't ask or let us do much for them so it'll be nice to give back. But first my weekend re-cap.

Friday my Fiance bought the new Super Smash Bros for the Wii U while he was at work so the 3 of us spent most of the night playing it. Saturday was a day full of running errands. We had to take my necklace to the Jared's jewelry store to be repaired, to Alex's parent's house to visit, Target, and make a run to the grocery store (that's when and where my Thanksgiving plan was hatched). We wound up having dinner at Carrabba's with my parents and The Harris'-some amazing neighbors and friends of ours from my childhood years. I love them and have missed them in the last few years. They moved to Florida in '99 and have recently moved back to Ga. It was great to catch up with them. Sunday we spent a few hours at my parent's house even though both of my parents had to leave and go to work. Alex and I got our room there cleaned up! So that was our weekend in a nut shell. I hope yours was amazing, as well.

*Hello Monday is a post where we say hello to what is inspiring us or whatever where looking forward to*

Hello long week of no school.

Hello sleeping in.

Hello 72 degree weather in November.

Hello open windows.

Hello cleaning house.

Hello Thanksgiving week.

What are you saying hello to this week?

Weekend Love.

This past weekend was a fun and relaxing one. Friday was Halloween, of course. At first I thought it was going to be just Dylan and I cruising the neighborhood trick or treating meaning I would just leave a basket of candy on our front porch and go by the honor system since no one would be home to pass it out. That quickly changed when my Mom called early in the afternoon to see what our plans were. I told her that Alex (my awesome Fiance) would be working late leaving Dylan and I to go trick or treating on our own. She quickly said she would come over to pass out candy and that she would bring wings for dinner (and more candy, too)! Perfect, at least I wasn't going to have to worry about leaving the candy out on the porch or people lurking around our house (I'm kinda funny about that). After I picked up my boy from school we came back home and hung out until my mom got off work and got done running her errands. Around 5:30 we started getting trick or treaters. I thought that was kind of early but it didn't matter since the kid got to our front door and ran off before I could answer. Something must have spooked him, though i'm not sure what. We didn't have scary decorations. The trick or treaters started trickling in just before dark. Around 7 my mom came over and told me that my aunt, uncle and little cousin were on their way to go trick or treating with us. Even more YAY now that I wouldn't have to take my buddy trick or treating alone. A little while after that my honey called to say he was on his way home from work. By now everything was falling into place for a wonderful Halloween. I had most of my family under my roof and a lot of fun was had by all. We trick or treated for about an hour before it started getting cold and windy. We called it a night and went back home. It was a good night. It was the first time my cousin, Emily had gotten to trick or treat in a neighborhood!

Saturday morning we woke up to super high winds and cold temperatures. After snuggling in bed my honey decided to head out to Chick-fil-A for our usual Saturday breakfast. He said parts of Hwy 5 had lost power and was afraid it would happen to us before the day was over so we cranked up the heat just in case and planned on scrapping our plans of going grocery shopping in exchange for a relaxing day at home. We needed that so much. We did lose power and water for a little bit. Power for a couple hours, water not for long. You would have thought someone was seriously punishing our kid, even though his devices were charged he complained like no other b/c we didn't have internet service. Whatever. I kind of enjoyed it. I got to sit and do nothing but snuggle on the couch and read my book. Other than that our day was pretty un-eventful.

Sunday was our busy day since we had put off grocery shopping we had to do that. We stocked up because this weather is pretty un-predictible already and it's only the 3rd of November. I think it's going to be a long winter. So we grocery shopped then we went to my parent's house to have dinner. My mom made home made chinese food. My mom makes the best fried rice ever. After that we came home and our friend Nancy came over to watch The Walking Dead. I'm not even sure what to think about that episode. this weekend was great. I hope yours was, too. I'll leave you with some pictures from Halloween.
