October Currently

Hi Peachies! Happy Halloween! I hope you are getting ready to take your littles out for some tricks and treats. My heart is kinda broken because my little is a teenager now and he's not into dressing up and trick or treating. Sad mom here but I am kinda looking forward to hiding out with my hubby and son tonight and not dealing with sugar highs. Sorry. Not sorry. I kinda sound like the Halloween Grinch but I still love this holiday, I'm just living vicariously through all of y'all's pictures of your superheroes and princesses.

Before you run out the door to all your Halloween festivities I want to share my October Currently.

Oh Hey, Friday!

This morning while I was standing in the kitchen having coffee with my husband {a total weekday treat because usually this is a weekend thing. Monday thru Friday he's usually out the door before i'm even out of bed} he said "you know what the best part about Friday is? When I asked what I couldn't help but giggle at his answer. "Saturday" that's what he said. Saturday really is the best thing about Friday, y'all but you know what else is good about Friday? The Oh Hey, Friday! link up with the always adorable Karli from September Farm.

Today's top 5 is all about my favorite things from this week. So happy reading y'all and Happy Friday!

Guys Behind the Blog

Hi Peachies! I am so excited about today's post. It's one I wanted to do forever and I finally have the chance. Today i'm linking up with my sweet friend Crystal from Hall Around Texas for the Guy's Behind the Blog series. I had so much fun interviewing my sweet, handsome hubby for this and I think he had fun, too.

Just read what he asked me at the end and I think you'll see why.

So go grab a cup of cider, coffee or tea and snuggle in with us and read my hubby's Guys Behind the Blog interview.

On Wednesdays We Confess

Happy Wednesday Loves!

Hello Monday

Hello Monday. Hello new possibilities. Hello sunshine. Hello fall weather.

Hello Lovely Peachies. I know i've been pretty quiet lately. I feel like i've had nothing new to say and i've been all out of ideas for the blog lately. I've been in search of new inspiration and really spending a lot of time thinking about what I want to say next. I'm at a place where spending time with loved ones and really pouring my soul into living with intention has been my focus. There's something about this time of year that I love. Maybe it's the holidays that are upon us but I really feel the need to just be still and soak in the moments.

On Wednesdays We Confess

Hi Peachies! Happy Wednesday! I'm hoping y'all are having a wonderful day. I'm sitting on my couch with the windows open, my diffuser going with Relax and Eucalyptus and American Housewife on the tv so it;s safe to say my day is going pretty good. Today happens to also be my favorite blog posting day of the week because it's time for On Wednesdays We Confess with my sweet friend Mistle from Sweet Tea and Hydrangeas.

So let's get ready for some confessions.

On Wednesdays We Confess

Happy Wednesday! We're so close to the weekend y'all! It's Friday Eve Eve and I am so ready for the weekend. I'm also excited because it's time for On Wednesdays We Confess with my sweet friend Mistle from Sweet Tea and Hydrangeas.

Coffee Talk

Happy Tuesday Loves! I hope the weekend treated you well and you are all rested up and ready to take on the week.
We had a fun, low key weekend and loved every second of it.

Friday night we went to see my brother, sister in law, and baby nephew. We took them dinner and hung out with them for a few hours, just eating, talking, and loving on baby Luke. It was a wonderful laid back night.

Saturday we realized our son had no fall clothes that fit him and since it's now 60 degrees when we go to school in the mornings he needed jeans. So we took him clothes shopping then we went grocery shopping. It was a whole day of shopping and family togetherness, which is always fun. We ended the day eating chili on the porch and talking to our sweet neighbor while Dylan played with his robots with the dog. Fun times. We're a bunch of partiers around here y'all!

Sunday the weather was gorgeous. It was very fall and sunny. Too pretty to sit inside all day. I spent my morning making 3 dozen donut and pumpkin chocolate chip muffins then we decided to take our Willow girl to my mom and dad's where we could sit around outside and let her run with my mom and dad's dogs. We ended our night again, by sitting on the porch eating homemade chicken noodle soup and talking to our sweet neighbor. Our weekend was so relaxing and full of time with the ones we love. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I feel so relaxed and ready to take on the week now.

Life Lately

Hi Loves! Happy Thursday. I can't believe that this week is so close to being done. Bring on the weekend! I'm so ready for snuggles and lots of down time. Oh! And getting to see my sweet baby nephew, Luke along with my brother and sister in law. It's not been a bad week by any means but last week my hubby took the entire week off for our first anniversary and I definitely got used to that. I've been wishing he was home with me every day this week. To cure my blues I took myself to Target the other day because we needed toilet paper and everyone knows that Target is the place for all your essentials and to cure yourself of the blues. It worked.

I ended up making a sweet little {in-expensive} gift basket for my sweet friend and neighbor who was having an icky day herself. That cheered me up more than buying anything for myself because anyone who knows me knows that my love language is giving gift baskets. I love buying a basket and filling it to the brim with goodies and delivering them to someone who needs a little cheer in their day. More on that in a few minutes.

Let's get back to our anniversary week. Our first anniversary was on a Monday and my super sweet hubby surprised me by taking the entire week off work. That's something he never gets to do, in fact, he hasn't since our wedding and honeymoon last year so it was a sweet surprise. He made plans to take me to dinner somewhere I'd never been before, The Melting Pot. It was a cozy, romantic fondue restaurant where he planned the works for us. We had an amazing 4 course meal, champagne and he even got me roses! It was definitely my favorite date in the history of dates. Our kiddo spent the night away that night so we could come home and have the house to ourselves. When we came home we did the traditional eating of the wedding cake a year later thing and laughed hysterically at each other's reactions. Maybe it's not all cakes in general but our pina colada cake did not hold up well after a year in the freezer. {Note to future brides-don't do anything to eclectic to the top layer of your wedding cake if you are going to go by traditions.}

The rest of the week was spent just hanging out at home together and enjoying some down time. We did go to our 5 acres one day and spent the day out there. My hubby even made me a beautiful new wreath for our front door from some of the vines that were growing on the property. We also explored our barn some more and found the coolest old ladder that I can't wait to take out of there and do something fun with once we build our new house. It was a fun, relaxing day in the woods and it was super quiet which made me even more excited to move out there.

I realize that we are probably the most boring 30 something year olds ever but we were quiet happy spending our week doing nothing but just enjoying being together. It was a nice change of pace from our usual everyday. I did squeeze in some blog posts last week. I was actually more prepared for that than I ever have been before. I think my hubby needs to take more time off so I can get more blog work done.

This week it's just been me trying to get back to the daily grind of life. I've had to run a couple errands but nothing big. I just can't get back into the groove of things. Mostly i've been enjoying this fall weather with my windows open and candles lit while I binge watch tv, catch up on laundry, and cook pretty amazing meals-if I do say so myself {I do}. I did mention that I made my neighbor a sweet little cheer up basket.

Want to see that?

So cute, right?

I'll also leave you with some pics from last week.

What have you been up to lately?

On Wednesdays We Confess

Hi Loves! Happy Wednesday. Can you believe it's October already? September flew by in a heartbeat.
I'll do an up-date post soon about what's been going on with me lately but today it's all about confessions with my sweet friend Mistle from Sweet Tea and Hydrangeas.

Can you believe it's been over a month since my last confessions post?

I Confess i'm in a blogging slump after Blogtember. It was so easy to have prompts to write about the entire month. Now i'm at a loss.

I Confess i've gained every bit of weight back that I lost for my wedding last year. It's time to fight back and get myself back into shape now.

I Confess that this fall weather has me seriously swooning! I'm loving life with my windows open all day every day.

I Confess that fall is my favorite time of year to be in the kitchen cooking. My husband is happy with that.
However, we need to start eating healthier so if you have any healthy recipes send 'em my way.

I Confess I got spoiled having my husband home all week last week. The struggle is real this week.

I Confess I saw an old friend from high school yesterday and we picked up right where we left off. That made my heart happy.

I Confess I have about 5 un-answered texts from yesterday that I need to respond to still.

I Confess I need to get out and walk but i'm a little scared of all the clowns rumored to be hanging around.

I Confess i'm in need of some sunshine time on my front porch today.

I Confess i'm in love with the Bubble & Charm line from Target. I just got the Poppies & Posies lotion yesterday. It smells amazing.

I Confess i'm also in love with all the fall lip colors i've been stocking up on.

I Confess it makes my heart happy to send out cheer mail to loved ones when they're going through a difficult time.
It makes me just as happy as it does the receiver. Yesterday I gave my sweet friend a cheer package and posted this on Instagram.

I Confess I dare you to do one random act of kindness for someone you love with week then tag me in a post on Instagram

Happy Wednesday! Share your confessions with me in the comments below.
