Oh Hey, Friday!

Cheers to Fri-yay, y'all! Another week is in the books and it's the start of spring break for us. That means a week full of sleeping in and hanging out. We don't have any big plans to go anywhere but this mama is so ready, but first, I'm going to kick off the weekend with some Oh Hey, Friday fun so grab a cup of sweet tea or lemonade and enjoy Good Week/Bad Week, Instagram goodness, Coffee & Blog Posts and my favorite finds from the internet this week.

Oh Hey, Friday!

Good Week/Bad Week

Good Week-All the comment love i've been getting on my Instagram and blog. Y'all really know how to make a girl feel loved. Y'all are the reason why I do what I do and the reason I feel inspired to step out of my comfort zone and share make up tutorials on Instagram and style posts on Peaches and Willow.

Bad Week-I honestly can say I didn't really have anything bad, at least not of any significance this week.

Spring Fashion with ThredUp

*This is not an affiliate link. I received free products in exchange for this post. All thoughts are my own.*

Today i'm sitting with my air conditioning off and my front door open because it's a beautiful 78*. Spring has officially sprung here in Georgia and I'm in love with the longer sunny days and all the pretty fashion. I love looking pretty and feeling pretty, too but I'm also all about affordable fashion; that's why ThredUp has become my newest obsession. ThredUp is an on-line thrift store that sells trendy clothing at super affordable prices.

My skirt and heels are ThredUp finds. Both are out of my comfort zone but they were so affordable that I didn't feel bad about spending money on clothing pieces that I wasn't even sure if I would like. Turns out I love them both but these heels are my absolute favorite. They're quickly becoming a spring fashion staple. You can really dress them up or down. You can see how I styled them with jeans and a tee in my Instagram picture below.

Right now they have a special promotion going on that I get to share with my fabulous readers. Enter code: SHOES50 for 50% off first-time orders. Discount good for up to $50 at check out. Happy Shopping!!!

Celebrate Everyday

Hi Sweet Friends! If you've been around here for any amount of time you know I have a passion for supporting small businesses. That's why i'm so excited to announce my collaboration with
The Confetti Bar. Last month I celebrated my thirty something birthday. Seriously y'all, I forgot my age the other day and my husband had to correct me. I don't feel the age I am though, so there's that. And i'm not embarrassed to say it, i'm thirty five. My thirties have been my favorite age decade so far but that's another blog post for another time.

*This is not an affiliate link. I received free products in exchange for this post. All thoughts are my own.*

This post is all about sparkly, glittery, confetti filled happiness. When I came across The Confetti Bar's Instagram account I knew immediately I had to collaborate because, Hello! Confetti!!! Confetti is all things happy. Don't believe me? Try saying confetti when you are angry or just throw some in the air and smile. I believe in being happy everyday and not just celebrating on our birthdays but celebrating everyday so I thought i'd share some of my favorite ways to celebrate. If you stay tuned, there's even a fun DIY.

Here's How to Celebrate the Everyday:

1. Grab yourself a subscription to The Confetti of the Month Club and get inspired making your own DIY confetti project.

2. Grab a sweet treat with a friend at a local bakery or donut shop.
(Think of all the fun Insta worthy posts you can snap, too!)

3. Have a confetti inspired photo shoot with your favorite furry friend.

4. Watch a silly movie with your family or friends, like Trolls!

5. Turn up the music and dance like no body is watching. Even if it is in your living room with all the blinds open so the neighbors can see.

6. Bake your favorite sweet treat and add sprinkles because they are the confetti of the baking world!

7. Google National Holidays for the month and celebrate each silly one, like National I Want You To Be Happy Day. Yes, it's a real thing y'all! Today is National "Joe" Day. Hi to all the Joes out there! Happy National Day to you!

8. Find a bright mural or DIY one, put on your brightest outfit and snap some pics in front of it!

9. Go put bright pink flamingos in your friends yard. Only if you know they won't get mad and who can get mad at pink flamingos?

10. Make your own confetti filled ornaments and give them to all your girlfriends as birthday gifts.

DIY Confetti Filled Ornaments

Supplies:
clear glass or plastic ornaments
confetti
ribbon
hot glue gun
cricut cutting machine & vinyl
OR stickers

How To:
Take the tops off your ornaments and fill with glitter and confetti
Make a bow out of ribbon and hot glue it on the ornament (this also glues the top of the ornament on)
Cut a cute saying or picture out of vinyl with your cricut OR decorate with stickers
(for mine I used my Cricut and cut the word Celebrate out)
Admire how pretty they are and give them to your girlfriends as gifts because shared happiness is double happiness!

They really are that simple and so pretty, too. I'd love to see how you get creative with confetti so be sure to share your fun projects with me on Instagram.

You should also join the cool confetti club on The Confetti Bar Blog for lots of fun, exclusive content and confetti bomb everything!

How do you plan on celebrating today?

Oh Hey, Friday!

Hi Loves! Cheers to Fri-YAY! I can tell you that I am honestly so glad to get this week behind us. It's been a real doozy, y'all so lets start this weekend off with some Oh Hey, Friday fun!

Oh Hey, Friday!

10 Ways To Rock Your Confidence

*This is not an affiliate link. I received free products in exchange for this post. All thoughts are my own.*

It's no secret that we ladies love leggings so when Chelsie from Hey There Chelsie told me about Simple Addiction leggings I just had to try them out. I started out by ordering one pair, then one turned into two and the addiction has just kept growing. They are so buttery soft and the prints are so vibrant and fun. They're practically all I live in. I'm all about dressing for comfort and style and with Simple Addiction you get both.

I have been blogging for three years now but I've never done a styled post. I always felt too shy in front of the camera and too self conscious. My body isn't perfect and for that, I could make a million excuses but I won't. All I know is that my body is something I shouldn't hide or be ashamed of, so I decided to take a huge leap out of my comfort zone and start doing styled posts. After Simple Addiction sent me an outfit I knew there was no turning back. I was committed so I enlisted my hubby as my photographer and we headed out to our property to shoot some pictures at our barn.

I'll admit, I was nervous and self conscious but I knew this was important; for me and all women. I regularly participate in a monthly styled Instagram challenge and so many of my sweet friends have said things like "you are so pretty" and "will you just take my money and go shopping for me?" Those are things I never thought i'd hear about my style but they sure do make a girl feel pretty amazing so I owe my boost of confidence and being able to step out of my comfort zone to all of you who support me and show me love. I want every lady of every age to know you are beautiful just the way you are and if someone ever tells you different then you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I challenge you to run to your closet and come up with a styled outfit then grab a camera and find a pretty location to take some pictures. You don't have to show them to anyone but keep them as a reminder that you are beautiful. Here's to celebrating our flaws and believing in our beauty.

Here are 10 Ways To Rock Your Confidence

1. Take time to put on your make up and fix your hair every day even if you are just getting into yoga pants or leggings for a day of blogging and house chores.

2. Take all the selfies your heart desires then go back through them and keep at least two.

3. For every negative thing you think about yourself think of one positive thing you like about yourself.

4. Think of a personal mantra and post it everywhere so you can see it often.

5. Keep a journal filled with all the things that bring you happiness and inspiration. It's okay to write stories that make you feel like the awesome babe you are.

One time when I was checking out at Ulta, I was having a rough day and thought it probably showed but the lady checking me out just kept saying how bubbly I was and how she loved my smile. I smiled all day after that and still smile when I think about it because it just made me feel good.

6. Go to Target (or the beauty supply section of any store) and buy a lip stick color that you wouldn't normally then go out and rock it!
It's un-comfortable at first but you'll be surprised how many compliments you actually get on it.

7. Keep a Happy List. It can be anything from received a gift from a loved one to got a new car to fresh mani! Whatever makes you happy makes you confident.

I used to post my Happy List on Facebook at the end of every day and it truly made me a happier more confident person. I think i'm about to get back on board with that!

8. Take 10 minutes out of your day and turn up your music and dance like no one is watching, even if your blinds are open and all the neighbors can see.

9. Make it a habit to (mentally) point out what you love about yourself daily. In the pictures above I can say that I truly love my eyes and something as simple as that can boost your confidence.

10. Take care of your skin. Find a skin care routine and products that you fall so in love with that you want to use them daily and nightly. Not only will you feel more confident, your skin will be all glowy, too.

So cheers to all my friends. You are beautiful inside and out. I believe that and you should, too!

P.S. You can shop for some of my outfits at Simple Addiction and get 15% off by using the code leslie15

Currently Crushing On Blush

Hi sweet friends. Spring is in the air or at least we're all dreaming of it, right? I love all the pretty pastels and neutrals this time of year and all the pretty flowers that are popping up everywhere. I'm not a fan of the pollen but we have to take the bad with the good, right?

Here in Georgia we're stuck somewhere between winter and spring but i'm ready for the cold weather to pack up and take a hike. My azaleas were blooming in my back yard two weeks ago then a cold snap happened and they're dead. Good news is that not all of them bloomed so there's still hope. Anyway, all this has me so excited and ready for spring so I thought I would share with you what color i'm currently crushing on for spring. All the blush things, please!

I've even created my own outfit for spring with all the blush. I hope you find inspiration in this post. I'd love to see an outfit you create using blush. Just tag me on Instagram so I can see your pretty inspired #ootd and follow along with the #simplystyledmarch Instagram challenge.

Coffee Talk

Hi Sweet Friends. Happy Monday. I know Mondays have a reputation of being awful and I understand. I mean we're having to leave our cozy blankets and sweats at home and be real members of society today, at least most of us do. I totally miss having my hubby home, snoozing away in his chair and my son talking to his friends and playing video games. I miss the togetherness after the weekend is gone but I am learning to love Mondays. I love the quietness of the mornings and getting to catch up on the chores I let slip by while I was enjoying my family. I love replying to all the e-mails waiting for me in my inbox and all the comments on my Instagram and blog. I feel so refreshed on Mondays but I know not everyone shares that sentiment.

You know what would make Mondays even better? If we could have a coffee date with our girlfriends. Imagine being cozy in a small cafe, sipping a mug of coffee before the hustle of the week begins. Would you join me for a coffee date this morning.

If you and I were on a coffee date we'd be cozy in my favorite cafe/farmer's market. I love this little cafe, it's half cafe half farmer's market. It's cozy and inviting. I would be drinking an Italian Cream espresso and eating a blueberry muffin. What would you have? I would tell you about my weekend and ask about yours. I would ask how your family is and happily look at any pictures you have of your kids and pets and all the fun things in your life lately.

I would tell you that I finally feel like i'm getting my house and life back on track after being sick for a week. It really threw me off track and I honestly didn't mind. Usually i'm border line OCD about my house being clean and having blog posts drafted ahead of time, not that I actually ever get them posted before 10 a.m. but I like to have something started in advance. Being sick made me slow down and realize that the house work isn't going anywhere, neither is the blog. I'm actually enjoying moving at a slower pace. It gives me more time to enjoy life and what truly matters most.

I would also tell you that my focus has shifted from the blog to other forms of social media lately, mostly Instagram. I don't know why but I feel like Insta has my heart and attention lately. It's not that I'm not focused on Peaches and Willow because I love creating content to share but I'm really focused on growing Insta. The #simplystyledmarch challenge that I'm doing really has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and find my self confidence. Sometimes it's hard being a woman with curves in today's society but this challenge really makes me feel confident and beautiful in my imperfect skin.

I am also obsessed with Ashley Beaudin. She's an amazing girl boss and creative entrepreneur and the master mind behind The Imperfect Boss. If you don't know Ashley yet then run to her blog, Facebook page or Instagram and become best friends forever because she's the kind of girl everyone needs in their tribe. I've also recently found Sarah from Stylish Sassy and Classy and am kind of obsessed with her girl boss attitude, too. These ladies are both such an inspiration to me and The Imperfect Boss Facebook group is my comfy, safe place full of fellow girl bosses just trying their best and cheering each other along.

I would tell you that a few weeks ago I had a potential collaborator back out when she found out I was also collaborating with a lady who ran a company that sold similar items. I went through a roller coaster of emotions on this one and I didn't talk to anyone but my husband about it. I've quietly thought about it and apologized to her and I am truly sorry that I hurt her, it definitely wasn't my intention. I won't share too many details out of respect for both ladies I was in collaboration with. I will say this though, I am sorry I hurt someone's feelings. I have the softest heart you may ever know. I also believe that there's enough room for everyone to succeed and I will continue to support small businesses that I believe in because, to me, that's what being a girl boss is. It's about wanting everyone to succeed and being willing to help peers out. Friday in one of my groups we were sharing what our victories were last week; I said mine was scoring nine collabs for the blog. Another lady apologetically asked me what that meant and explained she was new to this. I told her never to feel sorry for asking a question. I love to share with others the things I've learned, even if it means we're working towards the same goal. I just wish everyone saw it that way.

Speaking of, I saw a post on Ashley Beaudin's Instagram the other day. I won't share the image because it belongs to her, not me, but it said "Let's be women who aren't just here for a flashy moment, but who are committed to the long haul." This quote is everything. Be a woman who shows up, not just for the glittery moments but who keeps going through the dark, dull moments and in every moment, cheer each other on. Empowered women empower women. Be that.

I have signed on about nine sponsors for the blog and am working on collaborating with them for some fun posts soon. When I started blogging several years ago, I did it as a way to keep up with mine and my son's lives. I had no idea the blessings and friendships it would bring me. I truly wish everyone understood the blogging world because it's a pretty awesome place.

I would tell you that cutting sugar out of my diet has been easier than I thought it would be. I'm not going to lie, I haven't completely quit because I figured out there's sugar in everything, especially my beloved granola bars but I am keeping a daily food diary and cutting way back on sugar. I was a 2-3 glasses of sweet tea a day kinda girl, now I cut it back to one small glass a day. The other day I even put the Reese's peanut butter cup back when I was standing in the check out line at the grocery store. Small victory but it's still a victory. Keeping a food journal has made me realize just how much sugar I was consuming before. It also keeps me accountable.

I would share with you my new favorite make up and beauty products. The ELF total face palette is a must have for every ladies make up bag. It has two blushes, a highlighter and a bronzer in it and the packaging is beautiful silvery mirrored. It's seriously gorgeous on its own. My other new favorite in the essence dark circle concealer. It really helps my dark circles and this time of year I really need all the help I can get because my circles get so dark because of allergies. I've also been attached to my Perk! stick by Perfectly Posh lately. It's a lifesaver, y'all. It's made with essential oils, which I am obsessed with anyway but since my allergies are acting up this is my go to.

Can we talk about our most dreaded chore real quick? Mine is ironing. I despise it with every fiber of my being. Okay, maybe that's a bit dramatic but I truly don't like it but my hubby works with doctors and other higher ups in a big medical company and it requires him to dress nice, which means I have to iron a lot. I'm really trying to find ways to make this chore a little more pleasant so i'm thinking a Gilmore Girls or Fixer Upper marathon while I iron will help. Any tips or ideas for me? Help a June Cleaver wanna be out.

I would also tell you that I want to do a Q&A post on the blog soon so if you have a question you'd like me to answer please let me know!

Than you for joining me for a coffee date this morning.
What would you like to share with me?

Oh Hey, Friday!

Hey Friends. Happy Fri-YAY!! I feel like it's been so long since i've posted an Oh Hey, Friday post but i'm happy to be back in the groove. So let's get this Oh Hey, Friday! post started. I'm going to do a twist on my usual Friday post. This week i'm going to share a few things i've found and loved on the internet this week and a mix of my own blog posts, favorite Insta post and Good Week/Bad Week.

Oh Hey, Friday!

Good Week/Bad Week

Good Week- While I was sick on the couch all week, last week, I was able to reach out to tons of potential collaborators and sponsors for Peaches & Willow. I'm happy to say that I have quiet a few coming soon so I hope you stay tuned for that!

Bad Week- It's not even that bad but since I was out of it last week, my house and blog took a hit. I'm slowly getting things cleaned up and back to normal. I have to keep reminding myself that it wasn't messed up in just a day so it's ridiculous to think it can all be cleaned up in one day. Sigh. The life of a Super Woman wanna be.
