Coffee Chat + Goals

Happy Monday, Dolls. Monday has such a bad rep, don't you think? After all, it's the day that forces us to get off our cozy spots on the couch and trade sweats and pajamas for real clothes. It's the day that makes us trade endless Netflix binges for work and turn our alarms back on. It's always been my least favorite day of the week, too but I'm on a mission to make Mondays loved so throw your hair in a messy bun, grab your favorite mug of coffee and get ready for a coffee date.

If you and I were on a coffee date...

We would be snuggled up on my couch with fuzzy blankets and my Willow and Chance. They're both lazy babies and love spending quiet mornings cozy with me while I drink my coffee. I would be drinking a Donut Shop Original with Coldstone Sweet Cream creamer. I would show you our basket of coffees and offer you any of them you'd like. I'd also show you our creamer selection, because we believe in variety in this house.

I would tell you...

our weekend was another amazing weekend. We didn't get much done but i'm learning about balance so it's okay because I did spend a lot of quality time with my family and husband. Friday night we got take out for dinner and enjoyed a quiet night at home. Saturday morning my husband and I got ready and went to run some errands. We went to a bargain store where I found a ton of Francesca's boutique jewelry and name brand make up for 50%-80% off. I love deals like this. We spent the rest of the evening with my mom. Sunday was spent running more errands and eating dinner out as a family; it's rare that my hubby, son and I get to go out together these days so I always enjoy time together. The rest of the evening was spent playing with Willow pup and blogging while Chance curled up next to me.

I'm in such fear for the future of our world. It's a world so full of hate these days. I am absolutely astonished at the fact that there are people who don't love and forgive and who hold grudges for things in our history. To hear people say that they want to erase history is an absolute absurdity because we can't simply erase it and pretend it never happened. I refuse to turn on the news these days because it is just going to make me mad and trigger anxiety in me. It's not that I want to live in a bubble where life is all rainbows and butterflies but I am, instead, turning all my fears to God. He is the only one who can make this world good again and sadly, we've turned from Him. All I know is that where He is there is safety and peace; that's where I want to be.

I would ask you if you've seen this video? It's one of the most motivational i've ever heard. I'm a huge believer in making my bed every morning, except maybe weekends because weekends are for resting and being lazy. Do you make your bed in the mornings?

I would tell you that I did a fun In Case You Didn't Know post last week where I shared why it's fun being only 5' tall and what my perfect day would involve. These are the fun, personal kind of posts that I want to share more of because I truly enjoy these light hearted kind of posts.

I also shared my Peaches & Willow Refresh on the blog last week. I want to start to share more personal moments and heart to hearts on this sweet little space of mine. I want to be the one who inspires others and believes in each other. The person who sits next to the girl who is sitting alone. The person who says I love what you're doing. How can I help you? And the person who knows there's more to each of us than we let on. Let's share mimosa filled brunch dates, planning and inspiration sessions, and cozy coffee dates after yoga class. I want this space to be about US. About our hearts and souls and connections. I want it to be a place of raw emotions and open honesty. Most of all, I want it to be a place where we show up and help each other so share a comment with things you'd like to talk about here, topics you want me to post about and whatever is on your heart. I want this to be a place that's as much about you as it is me. Let's refresh Peaches and Willow together.

I am loving the kimono trend lately, especially with the florals, too. I found two fall floral kimonos at Ross a couple weeks ago and I can not stop wearing them. What trend are you loving lately?

I have an inspiration stirring in me to create a movement, i'm just not sure what I want to focus it on. I do know that I want to inspire women; not only to be the best we can be but to also find happiness in helping and encouraging others. I want women to know that there's enough room for every single one of us to succeed and we will all be infinitely more happy and successful when we lean on and support the women in our tribes. Together we can learn and help each other grow. I think that's where this new focus on myself and my blog space is coming from. It's like a new season in my personal life; a season full of personal growth so I can be the best me and in turn, I can teach other women to be the best versions of themselves. To embrace our flaws and celebrate our imperfections together but first, I must conquer these things in myself.

What would you share with me if we were on a coffee date?
