Foodie Friday.

Hey y'all! Welcome back to my Blog Sweet Blog! It's finally Friday and it's also the start of our Spring Break. Eleven whole days of sleeping in, no alarm and no real agenda. I can dig it because I plan on doing a whole lot of nothing except enjoying the outdoors, especially if it keeps up being sunny and 80* and sleeping in.

As y'all know Friday is usually my Foodie Friday post and lately I've been slacking on that. I just haven't felt inspired by food lately so I throw whatever I can think of together and call it a day but the other day I dreamed up this Buffalo Chicken and knew immediately I had to share. It was insanely delicious and I think i'll be making it over and over. The hot sauce I used were those little packets you get from the family meal at Popeye's so we've been joking that we'll have to go back to Popeye's soon and stock up on sauce but whatever kind of hot sauce you like will work just fine.

1. Preheat your oven to 400* & coat a cookie sheet in Olive Oil.

2. Soak your chicken in milk and eggs for approx. 20 minutes. You can do it an hour ahead if you want but i'm a procrastinator. 20 minutes worked just fine.

3. After I soaked my chicken in milk and egg mixture I pulled it from the bowl and put it in another bowl then drizzled hot sauce all over it.

4. Coat chicken in bread crumbs. I used the Essential Everyday plain bread crumbs but you can use whatever kind you like.

5. Put on cookie sheet and bake for approx 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and no longer pink inside.

6. About 5 minutes before they were done baking I put shredded Italian blend cheese on them and baked until the cheese melted again you can use whatever kind of cheese you like).

7. Serve with your favorite sides and, in our case, homemade ranch dressing for dipping.

They are so simple and delicious + they are baked NOT fried so they are healthier than fried.

I don't measure anything, I just eye ball it so that why I don't give you any measurements. I guess that's a perk (or not, depending on who you are) to knowing your way around the kitchen. If you need help with measurements shoot me an e-mail @ lesliew21282@gmail.com and i'll do my best to help you out.

Thanks y'all and Happy Weekending!!

March Insta Re-Cap

By now you know i'm an instagram addict. I post all day everyday. This month i'm playing along with Helene from Helene In Between and The Snap! photo challenges so there are sure to be plenty of photos to come from next month's re-cap. March was a fun month to snap pics of because it started to get warmer, flowers started to bloom, I started decorating for Spring and life felt happier. What's not to love about all things warm, sunny, pastel, and sweet? So here's my March according to Insta.

1. I started to dig my space out of the office/man cave and decorate.
I think i've almost completed it. There are only a couple more things I really want. A pretty lamp, rug, and one of those poofy things to prop my feet up on.

Here's the completed desk space. I'm in love.

2. We were able to pull our hammock out and enjoy some sunny, warm afternoons here. Lots more to come!

3. I sold my first bracelet to my sweet sweet friend, Brittany.

4. We started grilling out again. Something about my honey grillin' is smokin'.

5. The pretty flowers started blooming.

6. I found my first 4 leaf clover of the season.

7. I was thankful for Chick-fil-A for breakfast after a pretty bad morning. CFA makes everything better.

8. I made a new wreath for our door and started decorating for Spring outside.

9. I found my second 4 leaf clover.

10. We were finally able to take the top off the Jeep and cruise around.

11. I found Bunny Bait at Target. It was the end of calling off anything sweet.

12. We drank wine and had dinner at my mom and dad's. My son also came up with a Wii tournament.

13. I found my third 4 leaf.

14. I tried hot pink lipstick and reached out to everyone on social media for their input.
Turns out I really like it, so do y'all. My son does not.

15. I was thrilled that Target's dollar spot was re-stocked after the week before when it was bare.
Now I can't stay out of it.

16. I had one day where I got all kinds of good snail mail. Essential Oils, Jamberrys, and beads.

17. I tried on dresses for engagement pics and once again reached out to y'all on social media. Robin's egg blue it was!

18. I spent the afternoon with my in-law's and my guys. We laughed a lot.

19. I fell even more in love with that man.

20. We finally got a beach house booked (it's also our reception site)
& we booked our wedding planners, set our date, picked our package &
finalized colors. It's a GO! for September 26, 2015.

April Goals

Here we go lovelies! We're getting into the 4th month of the year, which happens to be one of my favorites. Why? Because I love that the weather is getting warmer (who doesn't love 70 + degrees?), we're spending more time outside, cruising around town topless in my car and our jeep, grilling out on our back porch. We're spending more time with the windows open, getting fresh air and sun kissed skin. Flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing, there are pastels everywhere. Easter is coming, so is Spring break. Life is happier in general :)

So now that it's April it's time to set more goals for this month. There are some that I'm carrying over from March because either a) I didn't do them or B) I need to keep doing them. So here goes.

1. Ask my last bridesmaid to be in my wedding.

2. Start wedding dress shopping.

3. Get our engagement pictures done.

4. Get wedding invites ordered or start making them.

5. Wash my face nightly with my skin care products.

6. Iron all of Alex's work clothes on Sunday.

7. Send people more snail mail, just because.

8. Less internet time in the evenings.

9. Start my Wii-Fit work-out again or running/walking in the evenings.

10. Lose 5 more pounds.

11. Eat more fruits and veggies.

12. Spend at least an hour a day reading.

13. Cut back on my sugary, cakey, cookie goodness intake.

14. Drink even more water.

15. Work on being less moody Judy (this one gets me in trouble sometimes).

16. At least one day a week, wake up 30 minutes early.

17. Find a good multi vitamin to take.

18. Get my hair trimmed.

19. Start to work on our menu for the wedding.

Those seem simple enough, right? Let's see how it goes. Here's to April. Another month of livin' and lovin'.

March Goals-How'd I Do?

Wow y'all! We've almost got another month in the books because March has 14 hours left in it. I'm just wondering where time goes because it seems like Christmas was yesterday. Anyway, I kind of look forward to the beginning of a new month because it's a fresh start, kind of like New Year's 12 times a year. This time of year is my favorite but I think I say that about every season because there is something wonderful about the start of each. I love this time of year because I love the flowers blooming, the grass turning green, the sun shining bright. I love grilling on the back porch with my honey and spending lazy evenings laying out in our hammock. I love windows open and fresh cut flowers in pretty vases. I love taking the top off my car or our Jeep and cruising around town. I love flip flops and shorts and all things pastel.

It just makes my heart and soul happy!

That being said let's check back and see how I did on my March goals!

March Goals

1. Ask my last bridesmaid to be in my wedding.
{I did not get to this one yet.
We had plans but something very important came up.
She's got a lot on her plate right now.}

2. Start wedding dress shopping.
{This hasn't happened yet either but
it's on my radar to happen in the next couple weekends.}

3. Maybe I should actually book the wedding planners, just sayin'.
This one DID happen! YAY!!
We have our date set, our planners booked,
package picked out, colors picked and
a beach house booked, too!

4. Get wedding invites ordered or start making them.
This one sort of happened. My Mom and I started them but
then I decided to go ahead with our engagement pics
and I'll want to use them so we're putting that on pause
for a couple more weeks.

5. Visit Ulta and buy the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Palette.
{This did NOT happen because $50 for make-up?
Nope. Not happening. Instead I went to Target
and bought a ton more with that $50.}

6. Start selling my jewelry.
This DID happen. After everyone loved everything I made
and really encouraged me to sell it, I did.
So far I've sold one bracelet to my sweet friend Brittany
so that's a start.

7. Wash my face nightly with my skin care products.
{FAIL! I did wash my face several nights but most nights i'm too tired
so I curl up in bed and forget it.}

8. Mate socks at least once a week (it's the chore I despise the most).
{Umm, nope! I despise that chore the most, obviously.
You want socks, you find them yourself.}

9. Send people more snail mail, just because.
This one I DID! I definitely need to do more of it though.

10. Less internet time in the evenings.
This one is something I've wavered on. Some nights I did great,
others not so well. Apparently you can't break old habits so easily.
It's a work in progress though.

11. Start my Wii-Fit work-out again.
{Nope and I have no reason. I need to get on it!}

12. Lose 5 more pounds.
This one I DID! And it does feel great.
I'm encouraged to keep on keepin' on.

13. Eat more fruits and veggies.
Veggies, yes. It's easy for me to add veggies to our meals
but fruit here has sucked lately. Luckily it's getting to be
fruit season!

14. Add social media buttons to my blog!
I DID! I'm not sure they're 100% correct but that's something i'm
working on. They're there!

So that's how I did with my March Goals, a lot of these will be carrying over to April. Not just because I didn't do them but some, because I want to continue to do them.

How did you do with your March Goals? Did you set any?
