Life Lately

Hey Friends! It's been a while since i've done a life lately post, it's also been a while since i've done a coffee chat post so I thought i'd roll both into one today so get cozy in your favorite leggings, throw your hair up in a messy bun and grab your favorite mug filled with coffee and let's chat.

Life Lately

•When it comes to blogging I feel like i've been going through the motions. Most days I have a post ready but my lack of planning has left me barely hitting publish and scheduling posts on Buffer. I haven't been very active in my blogging groups or on my friend's blogs. I haven't even been keeping up with my favorite bloggers' posts and truly, I have no reason why. It's true what they say, "failure to plan equals planing to fail."

•I was out shopping with my mama a couple Fridays ago when my husband called me to tell me that someone he works with found my blog and came running to ask him if it was really me? She found me accidentally by googling one of the tags on my blog. He said they immediately googled my blog and this little space of mine was the first thing that came up. It's a pretty big deal because I haven't even been focused on SEO. I've just been growing my blog my own way and apparently it's taking off all on it's own. That's definitely given me more motivation to get focused on my blog again though and start making even harder and bigger goals.

•Lately i've been feeling purely exhausted. I'm not sure why but I think it's my body's way of telling me to slow down and rest so when the mood strikes I sit down, focus on something I don't normally (Instagram or reading) while I drink a cup of hot tea or apple cider and rest. If I take a nap then I don't feel sorry about it, even though I know that's why i'm not staying on top of this little space of mine. I think it's equally important to take care of myself and give my body what it needs.

•I've never been much of a t.v. girl but this fall line up has me hooked. I'm loving The Big Bang Theory, Will and Grace, American Housewife, Eric and Jessie, and of course, The Walking Dead. T.V. has me hooked like never before. Everyone keeps telling me to watch This Is Us but I hear it's emotional so i'm not sure I can commit.

•I've been reading Emily Ley's Grace not Perfection lately and am loving it. It may be one of my favorite books ever. I love how she gives writing prompts through out each chapter. It really helps me check in with myself and ask "how am I really?"

Over the weekend I posted this on my social media pages.
Since i’m done adulting today it’s time to cozy up with @emilyley’s Grace not Perfection. I’m only on chapter one but this book feels like cuddling up, having deep conversations with your best girlfriend. I’m in 💜. My heart needs this.
•What does extravagant joy look like to you?
Extravagant joy looks like Christmas morning; in PJ's, gathered around the Christmas tree with family sleepily opening presents. It's the kind of joy that comes with pure happiness and love. It's when we set aside our differences to celebrate the birth of our sweet savior. Everyday should feel like that.

•I've really been missing my girlfriends lately. I just haven't made friendships a priority and it's definitely my fault but my hubby & I ran into my best friend at the Dollar General the other night. As we stood in the aisle and caught up, I realized I miss her. I miss being a part of her life and it's not just her, it's all of my friends. I've been in such a weird introverted place in my life lately and it's kind of a bummer.

•I haven't been keeping up with my morning routine lately

  6. Hi Friend! I completely feel you when it comes to blogging lately. I had so many things planned for this month but with my grandmother in the hospital and now my grandfather....blogging has been put on the back burner. Which I am completely okay with but I really wanted to kick butt with my blog this month. Maybe next month but if not then I just will have more time to think about stuff for the new year.

I love that your blog was found just randomly! How awesome is that!! I too have been extremely exhausted and I don't think it's going to get any better. This Is Us is sooooooo good!!! It is emotional but so worth it! I think you would love it. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

    Xoxo,
