September Mood Board + A Miracle Morning Challenge

September is officially here and it feels like it brought the fall weather with it. I'm so excited for this time of year with all the family time and celebrating that happens. This month, in particular, is especially my favorite because of the start of fall and my husband & I will celebrate our second wedding anniversary. In my excitement for all things fall I decided to create monthly mood boards so cozy up and share with me what you love most about this month.

Here are just a few things that inspire me and that I love.

I'm dreaming of going to apple orchards and pumpkin patches. I'm loving all the decor with neutral colors, pumpkins and wheat and please give me all the cozy sweaters and pretty LipSense colors. Oh, and let's not forget cute fall themed coffee mugs because a girl can never have too many mugs.

What do you love about this month?

I've also recently discovered A Miracle Morning Challenge through my sweet friend, Janelle who blogs at Olive June. I'm not a morning person but I truly believe that the way you start your morning sets the tone for the whole day and recently i've been on a mission to fill my mornings with things that bring me joy. Usually that's sitting in the quietness of my living room, drinking coffee and reading the daily devotional from She Reads Truth before jumping in the shower and beginning to get ready to take my son to school. Once I get home, I like to get cozy in my office and read my Lipstick Gospel Devotional and Prayer Journal then do a yoga routine. These are all wonderful steps in setting my morning up right but, unfortunately, I don't always follow through daily so this challenge will, hopefully, keep me accountable and inspired to keep up the morning routine and add even more happiness to it.

Janelle has asked her readers if they'd like to join her in this challenge and I'm all in. I'm about a month behind her but that's the beauty of this; everyone can work at their own pace. Her blog post linked above explains the six steps or savers and her hacks and thoughts on the challenge.

For me, I plan on keeping up my yoga routines and adding some cardio in. I also plan on keeping up with my She Reads Truth daily devotional and my Lipstick Gospel Devotional and Prayer Journal through this. I need to add in some affirmations and visualizations though so if you have thought or ideas on those I would love to hear them.

Pushing through the first ten days will be the hardest because that's the time in which you are breaking old habits and making new ones. My goal is to wake up at 6:00 a.m. for now. Eventually i'd like to wake up around 5:30 but i'm taking baby steps, 6 a.m. is already pushing it for me.

Are you interested in joining The Miracle Morning Challenge? Do you have any tips to share?

  5. What a great mood board friend!! It was feeling like Fall here in TX but now the temps are going back up to the 90's. I am not thrilled about it to say the least. There are so many LipSense shades that I want to order for myself but I have to remind myself to refrain. I am trying to stop making impulse buys and use up makeup that I already have currently.

This routine sounds like a lot of fun!!! Though I am not doing a morning routine I am really trying to not sit down immediately after I get home from work. I want to start being more productive around the house as well as working out. I did good yesterday, so let's hope I can keep this up!

  6. Happy second anniversary! That's super exciting.
I love the motivation to get your mornings going. I have a hard time with mornings but am working on it as well! I find that if I commit to getting up at a certain time the night before, and envision how lovely it will be (tea is always part of it) then I can drag myself up and out a little easier when I hear my alarm.

I love the morning motivation. I've been working on it as well, and I find that if I commit and plan the night before, it's easier to drag myself up and out when my alarm goes off!
